Jotting down my Thoughts

Why hello there!

My favourite movie quote ever
Super inspirational quote there :)

I'm the first to admit it. I am possibly one of the most unorganized people on this planet. Like I would full on loose my head if it wasn't screwed on.

I came across this website a while back where you could design you own notebooks and I just though 'perfect!! This is what I need to stay organised.' Personal Planner is a website where you can design your own notebook, diary, anything really to do with planners.

I've had mine for about two weeks now and I really love it. It completely fits to my personality because I choose everything, the covers, the inside; it's all me. It makes me want to write all my blog ideas into it and it has got my alot more organised!

For personalised notebooks, the prices are really good, as is the quality. The only downside is that they only ship to the UK. But for those of you like me who live in Ireland you can just use Parcel Motel!! If your as into notebooks as I am then I highly recommend this website.

See you guys soon Xx

Habitat for Humanity-Day Four!!

Why hello there!

Day four on the building site was much the same as the previous day was. What really changed was afterwards. The mayor of Beius invited us to a barbeque at his place!!

The house at the end of Day four!
There was only one slight problem with this idea though; the weather. It had been pouring rain since about ten in the morning. But everyone was glad to see more of Beius so we all put on our raincoats and piled into buses.

My friend and me getting ready to go to the BBQ
To be honest the food was pretty much the same as it was the past three days but the BBQ was still really fun. The families that we were building the houses for came as well and after about an hour, the rain stopped. For some odd reason there was also a DJ there and a bonfire too, so we ended up having like a mini rave around this huge bonfire!!

All in all it was a really fun day, and the BBQ was a chance for everyone to get to know our families and our teams even better!!

See you guys soon Xx

June Favorites!!

Why hello there!

Well July is here and I thought it would be fun to give you my June favourites. I've never done any of these before so you'll have to bear with me!!

BEAUTY FAVOURITES
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer-€7.65
Concealer: Last month I used this concealer almost every day. I have really bad dark circles and I find it really hard to get concealer that covers them up. My friend recommended this too me and I really like it! It doesn't cover up the dark circles completely but it definitely helps!!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation-€10.99
Foundation:If you guys know me at all, you know that I LOVE this foundation and I am proud to say that this was the only foundation that I used in June. It just has the perfect coverage for my skin and I don't even feel like I'm wearing any foundation at all when I use this.

Maybelline Great Lash mascara-€7.49
Mascara:I bought this mascara a couple of months back on a whim. I needed something small and neat to fit into my bag and this one fitted the bill! I really like it though. It makes my eyelashes really stand out and I love how the formula isn't  clumpy or gooey.

Rimmel-Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick-€6.99
Lipstick:I really like wearing lipstick, especially in summer because I'm not in school so I have more freedom in my make up choices. I got this lipstick in the shade 19 which is an orange-y red sort of colour and perfect for summer!!

Natural Collection-€2.99
Nail Polish:It's not so much the brand of nail polish that I loving this month but the colour. I really loved wearing white nail polish last month and I'm still wearing it even now!! The only problem is that I can't find any other brand that does white nail polish except for the Natural Collection. If any of you know where I can get some white nail polish please tell me below!!! I'll love you guys forever.

Boots Mango Body Butter-€4.59
Body Butter: The main reason that this body butter is in my June favourites is because of the smell. This stuff smells so good that I want to eat it. I wish that technology was advanced enough that you could somehow smell how beautiful this body butter is.

LIFESTYLE FAVOURITES

Reading:I read this book in the last week of June. It's set in Pompeii two days before the Mt Vesuvius eruption and then follows the lives of an Aquarius, a former slave and the former slaves daughters for the two days before the eruption and the eruption itself. The book was slow to start off but once the story got going I just couldn't put the book down!!

Krisprolls-€1.20
Food: I cannot get enough of these beauties. I have tweeted about them and I may have even blogged about them before but I just don't care. I love them. There are like little crackers that you can put cream cheese or ham or anything really on top of them. I like to put a teaspoon of raspberry jam on top and then just basically eat a whole packet of them in a day. My addiction has gotten so bad that my mum will now only buy them once every two weeks because I eat them so much!!

Well that's it!! All my favourites in the month of June. I know this post was a long one and sorry to those who don't really like long post but I really enjoyed writing this!! Tell me below what you June favourites were :)

See you guys soon Xx

Habitat for Humanity-Day Three!

Why hello there!

So on to day three of Habitat. This is where the building became fun for me! My team and I had done most of the heavy lifting the past two days so now we had to get started on the plastering and 'raising the roof'.

House at the start of Day three!
The whole team was at the house on the third day which was such a blast because before then everyone was scattered doing odd jobs here and there. This is when we started to have the craic with everyone, including the Americans.

I really should stop trying to seductively pose in front of cameras. It never seems to work out!
This was the day where all the wood, nails and cement started to really look like a house. You could see it in the family's faces that they were starting to get really excited. All in all I really enjoyed day three!!

See you guys soon Xx

P.S. I'm really sorry guys but I couldn't find the link for the dress that was on my last OOTD!

Summer Blockbuster Reads-Part 2

Why hello there!

I did a post in early June about my first summer blockbuster reads (which you can read HERE) and I figured why not do another one, eh? Live life on the edge!!

The book that I just finished reading was Call The Midwife by Jennifer Worth. It's a sort of biography/memoir about Worth's time as a midwife and nurse in the East End in the fifties.

I bought the book because I had seen the first two series of this show on BBC. And I don;t know about you, but when BBC come out with a new drama-I'm gonna be watching that like a dog in front of a washing machine.

I found the book really interesting. It's like you could hear Jennifer Worth talking to you, and only you through the words on the page. Each chapter is like a short story but yet they all tied in together. I really enjoyed reading this book and it is the kinda book that you can read again and again.

I really liked reading this book, it made me laugh and have a little teary eye which is weird for me because I literally do not cry at anything and so it's a big deal when books make me tear up. If you guys love watching all the BBC dramas like me then you would really enjoy reading Call The Midwife.

See you guys soon Xx

Essentials for Romania!!

Why hello there!

Okay so I was scratching my brain as to what to write about to day and then it came to me. I should write about everything that I am bringing to Romania-toiletries and make up wise. If you don't already know about my trip, you can read about it HERE

This trip is for charity and we won't really be going out much so I'm just going bringing a few bits and pieces but I thought I'd share them with you all the same!! I've split it into two groups toiletries which I'm posting abut below, and make up which I'm gonna post about tomorrow. So here it is:

 Toiletries

Some of the stuff here I wouldn't usually bring on holidays, but I suppose this isn't really a holiday so everything is gonna be just a little different.

1.Suncream
Soltan SPF50-€7.99 each
Yes I am aware that it's Soltan kids but aren't we all kids at heart?? Sun cream is probably a must have on this trip considering that the weather is between 30-40 degrees in Romania right now!! SPF 50 is a must have for me because I literally burn like nobodies business, even on the cloudiest day in Ireland I somehow manage to get burnt. (it's a gift really)

2. Insect Repellent
Boot's insect repellent-€8.09
This is one of the things that I don't usually bring on holidays, mainly because I don't often see a whole lot of insects in England! Apparently in Romania though, it's a little different. I'm lucky enough that I have only ever had one mosquito bite (on my eyeball ouch!) but I thought better to be safe then sorry!

3. Shampoo
Alberto Balsam green apple shampoo 400mls-€1.39
You guys know that I am full on in love with Mane n' Tail shampoo and I so wanted to bring it on this trip. I know it sounds weird but it was just too special for me to bring it on this trip, I need to know that my beautiful shampoo is safe at home.(that sounds really weird, doesn't it?) I really like Alberto Balsam though and the green apple one just smells so nice!!

4. Wipes
Wet ones-€1.49
Anyone up for a wet one?(ohh naughty!!) Haha yes, I know this is what I find funny. Wipes are a must for me everywhere and I love using Wet ones because they are really compact and neat so they fit in anywhere.

5. Hand gel
Cuticura hand gel-€1.99
Hand gel is also a must have for me everywhere. I may be a bit if a germaphobe. I decided that because this is such a big trip that I would splurge and buy a whole new tub of it!

6. Bite cream
Boot's bite and sting cream-€3.45
This is also one of the things that I wouldn't normally bring on holidays but I'd would rather be safe then sorry! I do hope that I won'/t have to use this though.

6. Plasters

I couldn't find a price for these plasters but you can get plasters anyway these days so I'm sure that won;t matter! Plasters are probably one of the most important things that I am bringing on this trip considering I'm working on a building sight. With my clumsiness there is a big chance I will be using these.

Well that's all the toiletries. I will be posting my travel make up tomorrow! You can buy everything I posted here at either Tesco and Boots. I don't know whether it's because I'm writing these posts or that it's only a couple days until I go but I'm getting sooo excited now to go!! What are your guys travel essentials?

See you guys soon Xx

Such a tune!!

Why hello there!

For me, summer is the time for music and dancing with your girlfriends. I want to share with you guys the music I have been loving recently.

Afrojack-As Your Friend

I love this song for when I'm running. The beat is so good and I just can't help but do a booty dance whenever I hear it!

Icona Pop-I Love It

Oh gurrrrrrl, this is my jam!! My friends and I absolutely love this song with a capital L. I have a feeling that this will be my summer song.

Rudimental-Feel The Love

This is what I like to call my bingo wing song because when I hear this on the radio I just have to drop everything and shake m'bingo wings.

Mr. C The Slide Man-Cha Cha Slide

Don't lie, we all have one song that we secretly love but refuse to tell anyone about it because of how embarrassing the song is. Well, I trust you guys so I am telling you that the Cha Cha Slide is my guilty pleasure song. Don't laugh but I have this hope that one day at a party, the DJ will just put this song on and then everyone at the party will just get into lines and start doing the dance.

Well those are the first few songs that I will definitely be listening to this summer. What are gonna be your summer tunes this year??

See you guys soon Xx

Habitat For Humanity

Why hello there!

On the 23rd of June I will be going off to Romania to build a house for a week. I'm doing this with a charity called Habitat for Humanity. Habitat provide low cost housing to people all over the world. They keep the housing low cost by having volunteers help build the houses and that's where I come in.

For ten years now my school has gone all over the place with Habitat and built houses for familes who wouldn't of been able to afford one without their help. As part of my school's tenth anniversary with Habitat, there are gonna be 250 of us going over to build ten houses in Romania. The group of houses are going to be called the Wesley Way after my school.

Over the past year I have raised over €1500 for this trip and I am really looking forward to building a home for a family that really deserves it. Because I am going away for a week with no wifi, it does mean that from the 23rd to the end of June there will be no blog post but I hope you guys can understand.

I will have a huge blogpost about what I got up too when I get back and I might be able to tweet and instagram a few picks so make sure that you guys follow me on those so I can keep you up to date. If you guys wanna know more about what Habitat for Humanity is you can find out HERE

See you guys soon Xx

Things I'm lovin'

Why hello there!

This post is usually called a monthly favourites post but because I am a very forgetful person and I forgot to do a May monthly favourites so I thought I'd do things I'm loving right now and then a Hune monthly favourites in July!!

Converse from Office-€46

The first thing that I am loving right now are my white converse. I was a bit worried buying these because I am not good with white anything. Red sauce will eventually find its way to any white item of clothing that I own!! But I LOVE these and I am so glad I bought them.

Shade 12 from Boots-around €7

I normally can't wear lipstick at all because my lips get really dried out from it. But my friend had bought one of these and recommended it to me so I decided to take a risk and buy one. I'm so glad I did because the range has really pretty shades and it feels so moisturising on my skin!!

From pharmacies and online-around €8-9
I did a review about Mane n' Tail a couple of days ago so you guys know I love this!!! I just cannot get enough of it. Like I am full on obsessed with Mane n'Tail shampoo and I think this will probably be in my favourites for a looong time.

Available in pharmacies and boots-around €3

My world basically revolves around lip balm and I have been loving Carmax lip balm. It has such a refreshing feel and it helps a lot with the dryness of my lips.

Eason's-€15.99
Miranda Hart is like my idol!! If I saw her in the street I would full on scream and then probably faint. I love watching her on tv and when I heard she had brought out a book I was first in line to buy it!! I recently re-read about two weeks ago and I still think it such I funny book. If you are a Miranda Hart fan I urge you to read it.

Boots-€6.99
And finally there is this base coat. I think the brand is called save the nail. I bought it in boots a month ago now and it has like brought strength back to my nails and repaired it!! I do like this base coat and I have been using it a lot this past month.

Well there you go! All the thing that I have been lovin' this past month and I promise I will do a HUGE monthly favourites in June. Including clothe, make up, everything. In the meantime, tell me below what you guys have been loving.

See you guys soon Xx

My New Obsession

Why hello there!

I know I am late jumping on the bandwagon with this one but I downloaded Candy Crush saga a week ago and now I am full on obsessed!! Like I have a serious problem. If you follow me on Twitter @ContemplatingNd (shameless plug there) I even tweeted that I dreamed about it.

Image gotten from Google Images
The app is free but the more levels you get up too the harder it is and you can pay for help which is how they get you. I have spent like a tenner on stuff in just one week alone! I know it's bad for  me, because if you think about it, what does this do to help me in life? But I just can't stop.

If you haven't gotten this yet, I urge you not too because it WILL take over your life! Even now as I write this post, I am playing Candy Crush. I just can't help myself!! Do you guys have an obsession like I have with Candy Crush?

See you guys soon Xx

Keep on keeping on

Why hello there!

I don't know about you guys but during summer I get really bored. And is it just me or do people start to eat loads when they are bored? Like on one slow Tuesday night, I could literally clean out my whole kitchen!!

And so to try and stay slim and be able to eat loads, I always try to run everyday. But it's hard, it's not an easy thing at all. Especially me because I am one of the most laziest people in the world!!

This image is courtesy of Google images
I saw this poster outside the P.E. office in my school. And whenever I'm outside running, and I wanna give up and just walk and eat some double chocolate fudge cake (which is soo good) this quote always seems to pop into my head.

The thing is, it's true. Whenever I don't do any exercise for a day (which is often) I always regret it, but I have never once regretted doing any exercise.

See you guys soon Xx

Let's go to the Beach-each!

Why hello there!

I don't know what the weather is like where you guys are but in Ireland it is hotter then Ryan Gosling. So me and my friends decided to take advantage of this fact and move our asses down to the beach!

It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky at all. The sea wasn't even that cold!! It was just a really relaxing day which is what we all needed. After we did some sunbathing, we went to Dun Laoghraire pier and we just sat and talked and eat some 99's.

The only thing that could have made this day better was if I got a suntan. But of course, I am a pasty white Irish girl and I came back even paler then before! But I suppose that is what spray tans are for.

What have you guys been doing to take advantage of this beautiful weather?

See you soon Xx

Stepping back to the 20th century!!

Why hello there!

Okay guys, I have something to admit to you all: I have never written a letter. I've never had a need too. I mean, I was born into the generation of technology. I only ever send texts to mi amigas and on rare occasions, an thank you email to an aunt for the annual Christmas pyjamas(yes, I still get them!).

But my friend has now gone off to a French college up in Galway were they were only allowed write letters(I know how medieval!) and I couldn't go three weeks without talking to her so I bought a couple of envelopes and a few stamps and set in my merry way!!!

To be honest, I only thought I'd do a couple of lines and then sign off because I thought I would get bored. But that wasn't the case!! The more I wrote, the more I got more into it and an hour and fifteen minutes later I had written over four pages.

I really enjoyed writing this letter. Because for once I actually sat down and thought about what I was going to say, instead of just taking two seconds to text saying whaddup gurrl. It felt a lot more personal and from the heart( ugh cringe line I know!!). And I know that my friend who is in French college will appreciate the letter as I know I will appreciate the letter she sends me.

I know this seems like a rather long winded blogpost, especially since its just about a letter. But if you think about it, when was the last time we ever actually sat down and wrote something to a dear friend or family member without any use of technology at all?
Tell me below if you ever write letters, postcards to anyone you know!!

See you guys soon Xx
