OOTD-Irish summer

Why hello there!

I've never done an OOTD before but let's see how this goes!

The only thing that really changes in an Irish summer is that the wind and rain gets a little warmer.  So the clothes don't really change from Spring.

Jeans from Bershka-€19.99

I love these jeans from Berska. They are so soft and it feels like I'm wearing leggings! I've taken to turning up my jeans at the end because I feel like it adds a little extra to the outfit.

Top from Hollister-€36

This is my little bit of summer in my outfit.  I don't know what it is but hollister tops are just so soft and pretty and I can't get enough of them!!

Jumper from Newlook-€12

And this is my little bit of winter in my outfit!! I love these style of jumpers and the ones from new look are sooo soft.

Converse-€43

I have had these converse for years as you can probably tell from the state that they are in!! I prefer wearing converse then vans just because converse feel lighter on my feet.

Bag from Pennys-€11
And then finally, the big slouch bag! These types of bags are my life, I love wearing them and sticking everything but the kitchen sink in them.

So there you go. My first ever OOTD. Tell me below what you think of it and if you want me to do some more of them!

See you guys soon Xx

PS-This is my last blogpost for a week :( I'm gonna be in Romania and I doubt I'll have enough time to sit down and write a blogpost. But if you follow me on Twitter HERE and Instagram HERE you can see all the pictures that I'm gonna be putting up!!

Essentials for Romania-Part 2!!

Why hello there!

So yesterday I did a post about stuff I would be needing for my trip to Romania(which you can read about HERE) and I said in yesterday's blog post that I would write about what make up I was going to bring to Romania today. So let's crack on shall we?

So this is what I will be bringing my make up in. I know it doesn't look all that pretty but it's really handy and waterproof and y'know looks don't have to be everything! I actually won this from a competition in school so I don't know where you can buy them or how much they cost. This trip is for charity and we will be building for most of the day so I'm only packing a few bits and pieces of make up and here they are!

1. Foundation
Rimmel wake me up foundation-€10.99
If you guys know anything about me you know that I love this foundation. This is a must have for everywhere I go.

2. Powder
Rimmel Match Perfection Powder-€7.69
As you can see from the picture, I use this product a lot. It's feels so good on my skin and I know it's weird but I love the smell!! When I'm away and it gets too hot I might just wear the powder on it's own with some concealer.

3. Concealor

If you guys know me at all, you'd know that I have serious dark circled under my eyes. Like it is so bad that my dad sometimes asks me where I got my black eye from!! No joke so I like to use a heavy concealer on my eyes. I got the benefit boi-ing concealer in a set and I love it!! Shade 01 suits my skin perfectly and it covers up most of my dark circles. When this little pot runs out I will definitely be buying the full size.

Well that's it! I know it's not much but I won't be going out at all really because I'll just be on the building site the whole time. I'll probably do a big summer make up essentials later in the summer!! In the mean time what are your guy's summer make up essentials??

See you guys soon Xx

Essentials for Romania!!

Why hello there!

Okay so I was scratching my brain as to what to write about to day and then it came to me. I should write about everything that I am bringing to Romania-toiletries and make up wise. If you don't already know about my trip, you can read about it HERE

This trip is for charity and we won't really be going out much so I'm just going bringing a few bits and pieces but I thought I'd share them with you all the same!! I've split it into two groups toiletries which I'm posting abut below, and make up which I'm gonna post about tomorrow. So here it is:

 Toiletries

Some of the stuff here I wouldn't usually bring on holidays, but I suppose this isn't really a holiday so everything is gonna be just a little different.

1.Suncream
Soltan SPF50-€7.99 each
Yes I am aware that it's Soltan kids but aren't we all kids at heart?? Sun cream is probably a must have on this trip considering that the weather is between 30-40 degrees in Romania right now!! SPF 50 is a must have for me because I literally burn like nobodies business, even on the cloudiest day in Ireland I somehow manage to get burnt. (it's a gift really)

2. Insect Repellent
Boot's insect repellent-€8.09
This is one of the things that I don't usually bring on holidays, mainly because I don't often see a whole lot of insects in England! Apparently in Romania though, it's a little different. I'm lucky enough that I have only ever had one mosquito bite (on my eyeball ouch!) but I thought better to be safe then sorry!

3. Shampoo
Alberto Balsam green apple shampoo 400mls-€1.39
You guys know that I am full on in love with Mane n' Tail shampoo and I so wanted to bring it on this trip. I know it sounds weird but it was just too special for me to bring it on this trip, I need to know that my beautiful shampoo is safe at home.(that sounds really weird, doesn't it?) I really like Alberto Balsam though and the green apple one just smells so nice!!

4. Wipes
Wet ones-€1.49
Anyone up for a wet one?(ohh naughty!!) Haha yes, I know this is what I find funny. Wipes are a must for me everywhere and I love using Wet ones because they are really compact and neat so they fit in anywhere.

5. Hand gel
Cuticura hand gel-€1.99
Hand gel is also a must have for me everywhere. I may be a bit if a germaphobe. I decided that because this is such a big trip that I would splurge and buy a whole new tub of it!

6. Bite cream
Boot's bite and sting cream-€3.45
This is also one of the things that I wouldn't normally bring on holidays but I'd would rather be safe then sorry! I do hope that I won'/t have to use this though.

6. Plasters

I couldn't find a price for these plasters but you can get plasters anyway these days so I'm sure that won;t matter! Plasters are probably one of the most important things that I am bringing on this trip considering I'm working on a building sight. With my clumsiness there is a big chance I will be using these.

Well that's all the toiletries. I will be posting my travel make up tomorrow! You can buy everything I posted here at either Tesco and Boots. I don't know whether it's because I'm writing these posts or that it's only a couple days until I go but I'm getting sooo excited now to go!! What are your guys travel essentials?

See you guys soon Xx

Such a tune!!

Why hello there!

For me, summer is the time for music and dancing with your girlfriends. I want to share with you guys the music I have been loving recently.

Afrojack-As Your Friend

I love this song for when I'm running. The beat is so good and I just can't help but do a booty dance whenever I hear it!

Icona Pop-I Love It

Oh gurrrrrrl, this is my jam!! My friends and I absolutely love this song with a capital L. I have a feeling that this will be my summer song.

Rudimental-Feel The Love

This is what I like to call my bingo wing song because when I hear this on the radio I just have to drop everything and shake m'bingo wings.

Mr. C The Slide Man-Cha Cha Slide

Don't lie, we all have one song that we secretly love but refuse to tell anyone about it because of how embarrassing the song is. Well, I trust you guys so I am telling you that the Cha Cha Slide is my guilty pleasure song. Don't laugh but I have this hope that one day at a party, the DJ will just put this song on and then everyone at the party will just get into lines and start doing the dance.

Well those are the first few songs that I will definitely be listening to this summer. What are gonna be your summer tunes this year??

See you guys soon Xx

Habitat For Humanity

Why hello there!

On the 23rd of June I will be going off to Romania to build a house for a week. I'm doing this with a charity called Habitat for Humanity. Habitat provide low cost housing to people all over the world. They keep the housing low cost by having volunteers help build the houses and that's where I come in.

For ten years now my school has gone all over the place with Habitat and built houses for familes who wouldn't of been able to afford one without their help. As part of my school's tenth anniversary with Habitat, there are gonna be 250 of us going over to build ten houses in Romania. The group of houses are going to be called the Wesley Way after my school.

Over the past year I have raised over €1500 for this trip and I am really looking forward to building a home for a family that really deserves it. Because I am going away for a week with no wifi, it does mean that from the 23rd to the end of June there will be no blog post but I hope you guys can understand.

I will have a huge blogpost about what I got up too when I get back and I might be able to tweet and instagram a few picks so make sure that you guys follow me on those so I can keep you up to date. If you guys wanna know more about what Habitat for Humanity is you can find out HERE

See you guys soon Xx

Things I'm lovin'

Why hello there!

This post is usually called a monthly favourites post but because I am a very forgetful person and I forgot to do a May monthly favourites so I thought I'd do things I'm loving right now and then a Hune monthly favourites in July!!

Converse from Office-€46

The first thing that I am loving right now are my white converse. I was a bit worried buying these because I am not good with white anything. Red sauce will eventually find its way to any white item of clothing that I own!! But I LOVE these and I am so glad I bought them.

Shade 12 from Boots-around €7

I normally can't wear lipstick at all because my lips get really dried out from it. But my friend had bought one of these and recommended it to me so I decided to take a risk and buy one. I'm so glad I did because the range has really pretty shades and it feels so moisturising on my skin!!

From pharmacies and online-around €8-9
I did a review about Mane n' Tail a couple of days ago so you guys know I love this!!! I just cannot get enough of it. Like I am full on obsessed with Mane n'Tail shampoo and I think this will probably be in my favourites for a looong time.

Available in pharmacies and boots-around €3

My world basically revolves around lip balm and I have been loving Carmax lip balm. It has such a refreshing feel and it helps a lot with the dryness of my lips.

Eason's-€15.99
Miranda Hart is like my idol!! If I saw her in the street I would full on scream and then probably faint. I love watching her on tv and when I heard she had brought out a book I was first in line to buy it!! I recently re-read about two weeks ago and I still think it such I funny book. If you are a Miranda Hart fan I urge you to read it.

Boots-€6.99
And finally there is this base coat. I think the brand is called save the nail. I bought it in boots a month ago now and it has like brought strength back to my nails and repaired it!! I do like this base coat and I have been using it a lot this past month.

Well there you go! All the thing that I have been lovin' this past month and I promise I will do a HUGE monthly favourites in June. Including clothe, make up, everything. In the meantime, tell me below what you guys have been loving.

See you guys soon Xx

My New Obsession

Why hello there!

I know I am late jumping on the bandwagon with this one but I downloaded Candy Crush saga a week ago and now I am full on obsessed!! Like I have a serious problem. If you follow me on Twitter @ContemplatingNd (shameless plug there) I even tweeted that I dreamed about it.

Image gotten from Google Images
The app is free but the more levels you get up too the harder it is and you can pay for help which is how they get you. I have spent like a tenner on stuff in just one week alone! I know it's bad for  me, because if you think about it, what does this do to help me in life? But I just can't stop.

If you haven't gotten this yet, I urge you not too because it WILL take over your life! Even now as I write this post, I am playing Candy Crush. I just can't help myself!! Do you guys have an obsession like I have with Candy Crush?

See you guys soon Xx

Food for Thought

Why hello there!

Have you ever had this one piece of food that has just taken over your entire life? For me it has to be Krisprolls. I cannot get enough of these bad boys.

You can have them with some cream cheese and tomatoes or you can do what I do and have them with a teaspoon of jam on top. They are so good that I had to share them with you guys so you too can enjoy them. You can get them in Tesco and Dunnes Stores and I'm not gonna lie, I might have already eaten two bags of these in two days......

That's all for now though but tell me, do you guys have food that you just cannot live without??

See you guys soon Xx

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Why hello there!

Foundations are always hard for me to buy. I have quite good skin so I don't need that much of a coverage but I get the worst bags under my eyes and my T-zone does get greasy. This means that I never really stuck with just one foundation. But that all changed when I bought this baby.....

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in shade 103-TRUE IVORY
I love it soooooo much, like I bought this foundation almost a year ago and I am still wearing it. And as you can see in the background of the picture that I have another bottle of it ready for when this baby runs out.

It just suits me skin so well. It says on the bottle that it has an anti-fatigue effect which is what I look for in foundations because I get such bad under eye bags and I look so much more less tired. It also has SPF 15 in it too which I think is just so important and I never buy foundation anymore that doesn't have an SPF.

No Make Up On
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation On

You can see from the photos that there is a notciable difference from when I'm not wearing the foundation and then when I am wearing it. It's medium coverage which is what I like and it stays on all day, from when I wake up in the morning until night time when I take it off.

You can buy this foundation at all pharmacies and Boots as well as Tesco and Dunnes Stores. For £8.99 I think it's brilliant value, especially for the quality you are getting. I love it and if you want a good, medium coverage foundation then I recommend you try this one out.

See you guys soon Xx

Out with the old and in with the new!!

Why hello there!
I  was shopping with my friends a couple of days ago( spending way more than I could afford) when all of a sudden I heard a giant rip.

It had happened. My bad had finally ripped in half. I knew I should have thrown it out when I first saw some wear but I just couldn't bare to part with it. It was just so beautiful!!!

So after a couple of days of strong thinking and looking at all the online sites for bags that I could in no way afford, my mum came home with this bag for me.

It's from Penny,s and only €11 but I just had to have it!! It was the perfect bag to replace my old one. I just has this casual look about it and the bag is sooo big too. I think this bag is definitely gonna be one of my summer staples.

See you guys soon Xx

Keep on keeping on

Why hello there!

I don't know about you guys but during summer I get really bored. And is it just me or do people start to eat loads when they are bored? Like on one slow Tuesday night, I could literally clean out my whole kitchen!!

And so to try and stay slim and be able to eat loads, I always try to run everyday. But it's hard, it's not an easy thing at all. Especially me because I am one of the most laziest people in the world!!

This image is courtesy of Google images
I saw this poster outside the P.E. office in my school. And whenever I'm outside running, and I wanna give up and just walk and eat some double chocolate fudge cake (which is soo good) this quote always seems to pop into my head.

The thing is, it's true. Whenever I don't do any exercise for a day (which is often) I always regret it, but I have never once regretted doing any exercise.

See you guys soon Xx

Review: Rimmel London Salon Pro Nail Polish

Why hello there!

Summer is the time when I really get into wearing nail polishes. I love wearing a different colour every week and spending time just to paint my nails. I know it sounds weird but I find it really relaxing to paint my nails, especially after a stressful day.

I bought this polish because I really liked the colour and the fact that its supposed to last up to ten days. But
I was slightly disappointed that after only two days it had started to chip and get some wear at the top. I didn't use a top coat though and I say if you do use one it could last for a few more days. It also does stain my nails so I would definitely recommend using a base coat.

The colour I bought was shade 371, sea green and there are also about thirty two other different shades as well. They cost £4.99 and to be honest I am not sure if it is worth that much. The shades are really pretty but the Lycra in the polishes really damage your nails so if you do buy them I would advise you guys to wear a base coat too.
I do love this colour though and I think it is just perfect for summer! Tell me below what nail polishes you guys like to wear.

See you guys soon Xx

Review: Mane N' Tail Shampoo

Why hello there!

My hair is like my life. I love when it's thick and shiny and Mane N' Tail Shampoo does just that. This shampoo was originally used for horses(hence the name). I don't know how humans started using the shampoo but somehow it happened and I so glad it did!

I had only started using Mane N' Tail a couple of times before I noticed how much thicker and shiner it was. It says on the bottle that the shampoo gives you thicker, shinier hair and also helps your hair grow longer. My hair hasn't really grown any quicker then average so I'm not sure if that's true but my hair is definitely got thicker!

You can buy Mane N' Tail on their website which is http://manentail.com/ from $3.99 and also in most pharmacy's but unfortunately I can't find them on sale in Boots.

This product has to be one of my most favourite products of the month. I recommend it to everyone, especially if you have weak or damaged hair.

See you soon Xx

PS. Those clever clogs out there will notice that this is my second blog post today, but I wasn't able to upload a post yesterday so I just put both of them up today!

Let's go to the Beach-each!

Why hello there!

I don't know what the weather is like where you guys are but in Ireland it is hotter then Ryan Gosling. So me and my friends decided to take advantage of this fact and move our asses down to the beach!

It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky at all. The sea wasn't even that cold!! It was just a really relaxing day which is what we all needed. After we did some sunbathing, we went to Dun Laoghraire pier and we just sat and talked and eat some 99's.

The only thing that could have made this day better was if I got a suntan. But of course, I am a pasty white Irish girl and I came back even paler then before! But I suppose that is what spray tans are for.

What have you guys been doing to take advantage of this beautiful weather?

See you soon Xx

A walk in the sun

Why hello there!

I decided today that I would walk home from work. Partly because the weather was just so gorgeous that I had to get a taste of it and mainly because I might have eaten three bags of Malteasers....(no judging please, they are my weakness!!)

And I'm so glad I did!! The weather was just so beautiful that I couldn't resist taking a pic or two.

I mean look at how blue that sky is!!! The walk home was about an hour and was well worth it. I just felt so much better afterwards and I encourage all of you to go and walk in this beautiful weather while it lasts!!

See you soon Xx

Stepping back to the 20th century!!

Why hello there!

Okay guys, I have something to admit to you all: I have never written a letter. I've never had a need too. I mean, I was born into the generation of technology. I only ever send texts to mi amigas and on rare occasions, an thank you email to an aunt for the annual Christmas pyjamas(yes, I still get them!).

But my friend has now gone off to a French college up in Galway were they were only allowed write letters(I know how medieval!) and I couldn't go three weeks without talking to her so I bought a couple of envelopes and a few stamps and set in my merry way!!!

To be honest, I only thought I'd do a couple of lines and then sign off because I thought I would get bored. But that wasn't the case!! The more I wrote, the more I got more into it and an hour and fifteen minutes later I had written over four pages.

I really enjoyed writing this letter. Because for once I actually sat down and thought about what I was going to say, instead of just taking two seconds to text saying whaddup gurrl. It felt a lot more personal and from the heart( ugh cringe line I know!!). And I know that my friend who is in French college will appreciate the letter as I know I will appreciate the letter she sends me.

I know this seems like a rather long winded blogpost, especially since its just about a letter. But if you think about it, when was the last time we ever actually sat down and wrote something to a dear friend or family member without any use of technology at all?
Tell me below if you ever write letters, postcards to anyone you know!!

See you guys soon Xx

Rimmel Apocalips Review

Why hello there!

I'm not usually a fan of wearing lipstick or really thick lip glosses because  my lips get really dry from using them so I usually just go au natural!! But when I saw this mentioned on Zoella's Youtube video it looked so good that I knew I just had to try it.

It is of course Rimmel Apocalips (£5.99) and I am full on in LOVE with it. It has the colour and pigmentation of a lipstick but has the shine of a lip gloss. Your lips just feel so good and I love how it doesn't dry out your lips. Normally when I wear any kind of lipstick I also have to put on some lip balm but with the Apocalips I have no need to at all!!

The shade in the picture above is 102 NOVA and it is a perfect shade for the summer time. It's bright, cheerful and feels so good on your lips!!

I originally had another Apocalips in the shade LUNA but my friend decided that she also loved that shade and borrowed my Apocalips 'conveniently' forgetting to give it back to me whenever I see her.

Hopefully this helped you if you guys are like me and can't really wear lipsticks and let me know in the comments below what you think of them and what shades you wear!!

See you soon Xx

'Here you are old sport'

Why hello there!

Well guys summer is here and the time has come to begin the summer book blockbuster. I love reading and summer is always the perfect time to read: long nights, beautiful(ish) weather and just having good ol' lazy days spent doing nothing.
I decided to start of my summer book blockbuster by reading 'The Great Gatsby'.
I'm not gonna lie, I read this before and did not understand a word of it! But after seeing the film (which is amazing, highly recommend it to everyone) I decided what the hey, I'll give it a go.
And I'm so glad I did. Once I actually sat down and started to read the book, I just could not put it down! The film certainly did help and the writers actually put a lot of lines from the book into the film which I don't actually see a lot these days.
Well that's the first part of my summer book blockbuster and I'll be sure to keep you updated! What are you guys reading? Give me some ideas as to what to read next.

See you guys soon Xx

So here goes...

Why hello there!
I have been pondering over this for a couple of weeks and have finally decided to do my own blog. I'm not gonna lie, this blog will probably most definitely be my support group. This will be my place just to contemplate my life and to anticipate what will happen next.
I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.

See you guys soon Xx
